Two poor dogs that were hurted by their street life, healed each other’s hearts in a touching rescue.
Animal control found Daya the pit bull wandering the streets in York South Carolina in the middle of winter when they picked her up.
The dog was noticeably pregnant so animal control reached for help to Halfway There Rescue, who agreed to foster Daya so she could give birth at a home rather than a shelter.
Tragically, that didn’t happen, the mother dog lost her babies and she needed emergency surgery because of infection complications.
Dayas foster family noticed that she was grieving after she lost her babies, it was evident she was emotionally hurting and depressed.
Then in our story we have Raisin too, the orphaned pooch was found wandering on a road with an injured eye and very sick.
She was rescued by Halfway There Rescue. Thepuppy was far too young to be living without a mother.
So then is when the rescue came up with the solution to put his duo together, and when they did something special happened.
The grieving mother bonded immediately with the little puppy and took Rasin to raise as her own.
The little puppy was also happy since for the first time she felt loved and protected, so they started to heal each other.
When little Raisin was grown up and passed the weaning stage, Daya was ready to start her new life with a new family.
Actually Daya went to live with the first foster family who then decided to adopt her permanently.
Raising also ended up permanently with her foster family, she has another dog sibling named Charlie, they go along great.
This is such a sweet story that tells us we get healed from love and care, go sweet furries enjoy.
Raisin has her own Instagram page where you can see Raisin all grown up on her Instagram page.
